Reality star Sidney Starr is giving a unique argument in her latest attempt to secure bond. According to a new report from TMZ, she claims she is too famous to be incarcerated.
Starr, a former Love & Hip Hop cast member currently facing child molestation charges, argues in court documents that she has no criminal history and poses no threat to the community. Her legal team contends that her time behind bars is having “adverse effects” on her physical and mental health, specifically because her celebrity status makes her a target.

According to the filing, Starr is “recognizable to a sizeable portion of the jail population,” which she claims has led to her being “continually pressured by other jail inmates for money.” She further alleges that her personal identification number for the facility’s video communication system has been stolen and misused by other inmates.
To bolster her request for release, Starr has proposed strict conditions, including home confinement with GPS monitoring and a promise to adhere to any social media restrictions imposed by the court. Her father also submitted a letter of support, stating, “I am her father, and I would like to say that Sidney has always been a good person.”
