Talk about nonchalant!

The man accused of causing chaos and terror on Tuesday across a New York City Brooklyn subway was reportedly casually eating lunch at a local deli during the manhunt for him.

Brooklyn subway shooting suspects Frank James is reported to have casually eaten lunch at Manhattan tourist hotspot Katz’s Deli as the huge manhunt was underway in the city.

James, 62, was chilling for about 30 hours after the attack on a subway in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn. Instead of laying low, James was reportedly parading around New York City grabbing some of the best bites to eat and staying at luxury hostels.

After he left the subway he was spotted numerous times around 10:30 a.m. when he was sitting outside Dimes, a restaurant in Chinatown, and he even posted to his social media!

“He was the first one out,’ Sulaimen Yehia, 33, a staffer at the nearby Lotto Deli & Grill, said to The Daily News. “He already changed his whole gear. They were looking for gray and construction and he came out all black. Nobody thought he changed his clothes that quick.”

Per the NY Daily News, police sources stated that he took a trip to Chelsea International Hostel on West 20th Street later that night.

James called the police and informed them he was charging his phone at Mcdonald’s

The police were not responsible for locating James on their own accord.

He reportedly called CrimeStoppers himself and informed authorities that he was at a McDonald’s and would be charging his phone in the restaurant while waiting for them. He was taken into custody at St. Mark’s Place and First Avenue soon after his call.

NYC Mayor responds to shooting

Following James’ capture Mayor Eric Adams held an event on Friday to honor transit workers following the subway shooting.

“New York City has shown the world what our city is and has always been: courage, heroism, quick thinking and decisive action,” Adams said.

“No passenger was left behind, no life was lost. And thanks to you, our city continues to function every day.”

29 people were injured as a result of the attack and prosecutors add that he had planned further attacks as he was in possession of mire ammo, guns, and equipment that was located at a storage unit in Philadelphia.

“The defendant, in a terrifying manner, opened fire on the passengers of a crowded subway train, interrupting their morning commute in a way this city had not seen in over 20 years,” said court Assistant US Attorney Sara Winik. “The defendant’s attack was premeditated; it was carefully planned; and it struck terror among the victims and throughout our city.”
