Looks like Shannon Sharpe doesn’t feel like Ja Morant latest apology for his gun flashing incident was sincere.

On today’s episode of Undisputed, Sharpe spoke about Morant’s apology and said, “Skip, I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of ChatGPT but they explained it to me. You could say ‘Write me a love letter’ … and you can pass it off. It’s AI-generated. In order for an apology, it needs to be sincere and it needs to be in your words. Some of the wording needs to be in things you would say. It can’t be all by a PR team or people are going to say it’s disingenuous. Ja doesn’t talk like this. Everyone is looking like ‘What’? ”

As we previously reported, the NBA all star released a statement last night saying, “I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.” The statement read.

Shannon Sharpe has been very vocal about Ja’s situation, he also spoke previously about the ball player will lose millions and lose tons of endorsements.

“I’m mad, I’m upset, I’m disgusted by the people that defended (Morant),” he said. “Because that’s what got us here. All of the people that said let Ja be Ja, are y’all gonna be the treasurer of that GoFundMe account, because he just lost $39 million because he wasn’t on one of the three All-NBA teams. Sharpe believes Morant could very well end up losing his NBA contract and many of his endorsement deals for making the same mistake after just recently coming off his suspension for a similar incident where he flashed a gun. “He’s about to lose another $20-$30 million of these endorsements.”

Now if your not caught up on Ja Morant’s antics this isn’t the first time he has been in hot water.

During an Instagram Live stream, Morant appeared to show a gun at a nightclub in Glendale, Colorado. The incident took place in the middle of the night, and it quickly went viral. Fans and media outlets alike were stunned by what they saw, with Morant later explaining that he was at the club with some friends and that someone had brought the gun with them.

The Glendale Police Department investigated the incident but could not determine that probable cause existed for the filing of any charges. Despite this, the NBA took action and suspended Morant for eight games without pay for “conduct detrimental to the league.” It was a significant blow to Morant’s reputation and career.
