Selena Gomez Blasts Facebook For Spreading COVID-19 Vaccine Misinformation: ‘It Will Cost Lives’
Selena Gomez is using her platform to stand up for Americans as she blasts Facebook and its counterparts for spreading COVID-19 vaccine misinformation, claiming, “it will cost lives.” However, this isn’t the first time she’s done so.
Back in September, Gomez also shared a private message she issued to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and CEO Sheryl Sandberg, where she blasted them about FB’s and Instagram’s problem with spreading “hate, misinformation, racism, and bigotry.”

In her newest grievance, issued via a tweet on Tuesday (Dec. 29), Gomez again condemns the social media platform’s failure to cease its spread of misinformation about the life-saving COVID-19 vaccine, which has begun its rollout across the country and overseas. She writes, “Scientific disinformation has and will cost lives. Facebook said they don’t allow lies about COVID and vaccines to be spread on their platforms. So how come all of this is still happening? Facebook is going to be responsible for thousands of deaths if they don’t take action now!“
