A Florida school security monitor was arrested after he was captured on camera punching a middle school student on Thursday.

The video was captured by another student who recorded the moment Antwan Ruffin,40, aggressively confronting a male seventh-grade student at Horace Mann Middle School. Ruffin said to the student, “Try me. when the bell rings, you’re in my hallway” then shoves him moments later. The student replies back but Ruffin continues to yell at the boy, “Do what you’re going to do. Bring his a**. Bring them all. Bring them all, I ain’t scared of none of them. Bring them all.”
Ruffin shoves the student again after asking him if he wants to make a phone call. After the video started circulating online, the former school security monitor was arrested by Miami-Dade Schools Police and charged with child abuse with no great bodily harm and battery.

The Miami-Dade School District said in a statement that further disciplinary action will be taking place against Ruffin and added, “Miami-Dade County Public Schools is deeply troubled and saddened by the actions of this individual, as they are not representative of our caring and supportive workforce.”
