Ruler Of Dubai Breaks Record After Being Ordered To Pay Ex- Wife $730 Million And Their Kids

The ruler of Dubai was ruled to pay his princess ex-wife and their children over $730 million in the most costly divorce settlement in British history.

A judge ordered Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, 72, to settle with Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, a half-sister of Jordan’s King Abdullah II, a large amount of around $333 million within the next three months.

“Absolutely uniquely, the main threat they face is from [the sheikh] himself not from outside sources,” Judge Philip Moor shared of the sheikh, who is currently the vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates.

The final tally of around $733 million is the most ever ordered by a British court, beating the previous record of around $600 million that Russian billionaire Farkad Akhmedov was made to pay in his 2016 divorce.
