Rumors Circulating About Roddy Ricch Being Arrested On Gun Charges Ahead Of Governors Ball Performance
Rumors were circulating on Twitter Saturday afternoon after one Twitter user claimed their uncle had scooped up the rapper and his entourage. The user said, “Roddy Ricch has been arrested. My uncle arrested him for guns.”
Around the same time that the user’s tweet went out, The Governors Ball official Twitter account announced that Roddy would not be on the roster as scheduled. They wrote, “Unfortunately Roddy Ricch is no longer performing today.”

The rumors were eventually confirmed. It has since been reported that Roddy and his entourage were stopped at a security checkpoint at the big festival, which has been set up in Queens, New York.
According to local law enforcement sources, officers claimed that they found a loaded firearm inside of the vehicle that was carrying Roddy and his team to the show. Police say there were about nine rounds of ammo in the vehicle as well, plus a large capacity magazine.
Upon the discovery, police immediately arrested Roddy, along with two other members of his team in the vehicle. Subsequently, Roddy was charged with four counts of criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a large capacity ammo feeding device, and unlawful possession of that device.

Other Rappers Who Were Cancelled Their Performances At Governors Ball 2022
In addition to Roddy Rich’s recent cancelled performance at the Governors Ball 2022, we also reported earlier this week about Atlanta rap trio Migos cancelling their performance this year as well.
With the Migos, on Tuesday (June 7) we learned that the group would be canceling their performance. At that time, there were also several rumors circulating the internet about there being a rift in the group — and the guys pulling out of the festival nearly last minute only fueled the rumors even more.
However, reps for the group confirmed that the reason for the cancelled show was actually due to Quavo’s busy schedule, which included him filming a movie elsewhere.
So, Louisiana rapper Lil Wayne was set to replace the Migos, but just hours before his set on Friday night, he also canceled, claiming he had a “flight disruption.”
With the slot back open again, New York rapper A$AP Ferg stepped in to cover for Wayne and Migos, essentially.
