Reportedly Prince William wanted to be separated from his brother and asked their cousin Peter Phillips to be in the middle. According to the Daily Mail, Prince William still had resentful feelings about the allegations made against the Royal Family during Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey. Additionally, Princess Anne and Prince Edward allegedly did not speak to Harry before and after the funeral service.

“There is little sympathy for him after what he and Meghan said on Oprah … They are still very upset, They all think [Harry] has behaved appallingly,” a source close to the family said. They claimed that the actions against Harry were to protect Queen Elizabeth II during this sensitive time.
