Fairfax, Virginia police have apprehended 30 pedophiles who have attempted to meet up with children for sex during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to TOO FAB, the sting called “Operation COVID Crackdown” was created to capture online predators who attempted to meet up with children for sex. The 30 men, aged 20 to 74, used the pandemic to their advantage since more children are at home using the internet for school and recreation activities. Investigators reported police officers posed as children online and said the men tried to solicit sex.

I  commend their ability to adapt during this unprecedented public health pandemic and to do so in the interest of protecting our children and bringing justice to those who commit these repugnant crimes.”

Major O’Carroll encouraged parents to monitor their children’s online activities and to use parental controls to block certain websites.
