President Donald Trump isn’t letting the entire presidential TV press pool stop him from speaking out as he launches “Trump TV” amid his media ban.
On Friday (September 18), Trump got in his feelings and announced he was banning CNN, MSNOW, and Politico from the White House press pool. He dubbed the media outlets “fake news.” He continued to allege they were “writing and reporting fiction and lies when covering the President of the United States, the Trump Administration, and the USA.”
As his ban went into effect, a CNN reported revealed she was in fact denied access when trying to report from the White House. She said one day after Trump’s announcement, her press pass badge was deactivated.

Trump Administration Launches Trump TV After White House Press Pool Suspends Coverage Of Donald Trump
On Monday (September 21), the three media outlets released a joint statement. They announced they were filing a lawsuit over Trump’s White House press ban. Reacting to the news, Trump continued to double down on his war against the “fake news.”
While standing in solidarity with the three ousted news outlets, FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC, and more agreed to suspend coverage from the White House. Just like that, the entire presidential TV press pool had took a stance against Trump’s attack on free press. And Trump felt the effects.
Hours later, Trump held a ribbon cutting ceremony to show off his new White House helipad. However, no one could hear him as the White House reporters boycotting him never showed up. In spite of their actions, Trump and his administration quickly pivoted and started teasing their own network. They dubbed it, “TRUMP TV: THE ESSENTIALS STATION.”
Furthermore, on The White House YouTube channel, the livestream shares a caption that reads:
“Watch the Trump Administration’s biggest moments all in one place. Top videos, major remarks, and must-see highlights streaming 24/7 and updated in real time. Stay informed and stay up to date!”
