NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo Denies Former Adviser’s Sexual Harassment Allegations: ‘It’s Just Not True’

On Sunday, we reported that NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo was facing sexual harassment allegations by a former adviser, and now he denies them, claiming, “It’s just not true.”

The ex-aide, Lindsey Boylan, who served under Cuomo from March 2015 through October 2018 and now happens to be running for Manhattan borough president, took to Twitter on Sunday to allege that the governor “sexually harassed” her for years. She wrote, “Yes, @ NYGovCuomo sexually harassed me for years. Many saw it, and watched. I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation?”

During an Albany press briefing, Cuomo addressed the allegations, he said, “Look, I fought for and I believe a woman has the right to come forward and express her opinion and express issues and concerns that she has. But it’s just not true.” He adds, “On the tweets, I totally respect a woman’s right, fought for a woman’s right to express any concern, any issue that she has in the workplace. I support that. But the tweets were simply not true.”
