Nicki Minaj has a message for those who think President Donald Trump is a racist and unlikeable — “research and get to know him.”
As we previously shared, the Queens, New York rapper, originally from Trinidad & Tobago, sat down with Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump. She is married to Trump’s third child, Eric Trump.
During Minaj’s sit-down on Fox News’ ‘My View With Lara Trump,’ she shared her thoughts on why people are so critical of the president. She said:
“They’ve put out so many lies that after a certain amount of time when you hear a lie over and over and over and over — especially when you are young or just uniformed — you just start thinking these things are truths. And that’s why I don’t like the fact that the media does not understand their responsibility in the role they played in all of this. If you think someone is racist, of course you’re not gonna like them. I feel like if they got to know him and did their own research, I think they would know that it’s just political theatre.”

Minaj added:
“But I would tell people that they should really think how they would feel. Imagine waking up and reading lies about yourself everyday, and you’re not able to have a rebuttal for every single lie, every single day. And along the way, those lies start to just simmer into the country, the world.”
In addition to Minaj condemning Trump’s critics, she also explained why she continues to double down on support for him. She said it’s “refreshing” to see someone be “very authentic” and “candid.” She said we haven’t seen someone appear to unscripted and trustworthy in the White House for a while. Minaj also told voters to “vote red,” and slammed Democrats, repeatedly.
