In the same interview where rapper Nicki Minaj told voters to “vote red” as she slammed Democrats, she continued to double down on her support Donald Trump. She labeled him “very authentic, candid,” and said it’s “refreshing” to see someone in the White House that “we can trust.”
As we previously shared, the Queens, New York rapper, originally from Trinidad & Tobago, sat down with Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump. She is the wife of Trump’s third child, Eric Trump. During Minaj’s sit-down on Fox News’ ‘My View With Lara Trump,’ she boldly urged voters to “vote red” ahead of the 2026 midterms. She said:
“Now is not the time to think that your voice will not be heard. Your voice will not only be heard, but your voice is very necessary right now for the country and for the world. We need you guys involved. We need you guys involved more than ever before. This is your country, this is your world. You are the ones that have to reap the benefits of whatever vote decisions we make now. Think about how much you want a say in what happens and realize that the only way to have that is by voting — not just voting for the president, but just voting in all of the local elections. Please, and vote red now.”

And when describing the president in one word, she said Donald Trump is “supreme.” Also in the interview, Minaj continued to take aim at the Democrats. She said:
“I think the Democrats have gotten way too caught up in Pop Culture — for lack of a better term. I think they’ve allowed their relationships with artists to cause them to act like children, and to be so petty and childish.”
At another point during Minaj’s interview, she continued to praise and double down on her support for President Donald Trump — who has praised her as a “fantastic person.” Minaj said Trump is “a very authentic person.” She said she admires his willingness to speak seemingly without a script. She continued:
“He brings this candid, unedited vibe to the White House that we’ve never before seen. And it’s refreshing because for a very long time, people started feeling like we don’t know who we can trust. When you see someone that goes off script, it’s like you come alive again, you feel alive. I’ve made it my mission to be someone that supports him.”
