NFL’S Richard Sherman Vows To Get Help After Being Hit With Five Criminal Charges

The NFL’s Richard Sherman has spoken out after being hit with five charges adding that he will get help and is remorseful for his actions after trying to break into his in-laws house.

The King County Prosecution Attorney’s office said Sherman has been charged for driving under the influence, endangering roadway workers, resisting arrest, and domestic violence.

The charges are all misdemeanors that can be rectified with fines and up to 364 days in jail, per CBS SPORTS.

“I behaved in a manner I am not proud of,” the NFL player said on Friday. “I have been dealing with some personal challenges over the last several months, but that is not an excuse for how I acted.”

“The importance of mental and emotional health is extremely real and I vow to get the help I need. I appreciate all of the people who have reached out in support of me and my family, including our community here in Seattle.”
Sherman added, “I am grateful to have such an amazing wife, family and support system to lean on during this time.”
