NBA Cancels Clippers Vs. Lakers Game Due To Kobe Bryant’s Death

The NBA said in a statement that they have canceled Tuesday night’s Clippers Vs. Lakers game at Staples Center in light of Kobe Bryant’s tragic death.

According to TMZ, the NBA states the decision was made out of respect for the Lakers organization who are currently mourning the loss of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna along with the others who perished in the crash:

“The decision was made out of respect for the Lakers organization, which is deeply grieving the tragic loss of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven other people in a helicopter crash on Sunday,”

The game will be rescheduled on a later date.  Yesterday, many fans asked the NBA for the cancellation of several games due to news of Bryant’s death. They also noted how the tragedy will affect the performance of several players who have idolized the LA legend or had a close relationship with him.

Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving decided not to play on Sunday upon hearing news of Bryant’s death while LeBron James was spotted at LAX crying in a loved one’s arms upon his arrival in LA.
