Michael Bloomberg Pays Off Fines Of 32K Felons So They Can Vote

Michael Bloomberg strikes again. This time, the former New York City Mayor paid the fines and fees of 32,000 convicted felons in Florida so they could regain their right to vote.

Axios reports that the billionaire has already raised More than $16 million for the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition.

Morehouse School Of Medicine Students Receive $100K Each After Mike Bloomberg Donates $26.3M

The new donation will help inmates who have already served their time and will regain their right to vote in November’s election.

A rep for Bloomberg released a statement, “The right to vote is fundamental to our democracy and no American should be denied that right. Working together with the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, we are determined to end disenfranchisement and the discrimination that has always driven it.”

Bloomberg’s new donation to help pay fines is separate from the $100 million he already pledged to help Biden in Florida.

Recently, Bloomberg also donated $26.3M to Morehouse School of Medicine, the largest scholarship invesment ever received by the school, med students at the HBCU were surprised with $100K each, to go toward their student loan debt.
