According to TMZ, as the eclipse entered totality on Monday (April 8), news anchors for Mexico’s RCG Media were live commenting before things got sketchy and producers quickly cut to a different angle of a bright light, which is presumed to be the sun.
Moments later, a pair of testicles appear in the frame, blocking the sunlight. Although it was just for a quick blip, the view was right up on the testes. Reacting to the incident, the two anchors on set visibly appeared shocked and completely at a loss.

While the Mexican TV station isn’t taking a lighthearted approach and laughing off the incident, the internet is. Some users claimed the testicle flashing caused more damage to their eyesight than looking at the solar eclipse without special glasses.
It’s reported that during RCG Media’s news coverage of the eclipse, they had viewers send in personal eclipse footage from their various areas, which obviously turned out to be a bad idea. As mentioned, social media users got a whole kick out of the incident, and through all of the discourse, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee got dragged into the mix, with fans theorizing that it was his testicles that made it on air.

Reportedly, Tommy Lee posted and deleted a similar eclipse re-creation with his testicles online, which speculators believe someone screenshot and then shared with Mexican TV station RCG Media for their solar eclipse broadcast.
Since all of the speculation, sources told TMZ that the testicles did not belong to Tommy Lee. They confirmed that the drummer did in fact post the RCG Media video on his social media pages, but only after someone shared it with him after it aired on the Mexican TV station. After receiving the clip, Lee said he reposted it, but then deleted it sometime after.
Furthermore, it’s reported that Mexican TV station RCG Media streams their daily newscasts on YouTube, but they have since scrubbed the moment from their channel and re-uploaded the program without any traces of the testicles.
