An investigation into the sudden death of Mark Middleton, a former special advisor who is alleged to have cemented Bill Clinton’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, is being reopened one month after his mysterious passing at age 59. Mark, who resided in Little Rock, Arkansas, was found hanging from a tree 30 miles from his home on May 7 after suffering from a shotgun wound through his chest while an extension cord was wrapped around his neck.

During his time working with Clinton as his advisor and finance director on Presidential campaigns in the ’90s, Mark was also believed to have admitted Jeffrey to the White House on more than a handful of occasions and flew on the controversial Lolitta Express plane, allegedly used for sex trafficking underage girls across different countries and states.

In Arkansas, the Perry County Sheriff’s Office had ruled Mark’s passing as a suicide, while his family asked to block the release of files detailing his gruesome death scene. But according to Radar Online, who contacted Sheriff Scott Montgomery for the police report of the closed case, the publication was given a response that they could not gain hold of such documents because Mark’s death is being deemed an open investigation, despite having already ruled his demise as a suicide.

“At this time this is an open investigation, and we are not releasing any information,” Scott shared to the news outlet, while a worker at the coroner’s office added, “Right now, it’s considered an open case, and nothing is being released on it at this time. That means it’s under investigation… it’s a legal matter which I guess might be supposed as a criminal matter also, I don’t know.”

The Middleton family was firmly against any police documents or crime scene photos being released to the public, stressing that in doing so, law enforcement officers were disregarding their right to privacy during such a devastating time. They went on to file a lawsuit against the sheriff and coroner, asking a judge to prevent the release of information under the Freedom of Information Act.

Following his passing, Mark’s loved ones had written a statement, which read, “The Middleton Family is saddened to share that Mark Middleton passed away this weekend.

“The Middleton family has lost an inspiring and dedicated leader, as well as a son, brother, husband, and father. Mark leaves behind a company that he helped build from the ground up alongside his family and was proud to run for the last 25 years.

“No words can express our sadness over this loss or our gratitude for your support and prayers during this time.”
