As we previously reported, Michael Jordan’s son Marcus Jordan, 34, was hit with three charges after police arrested him in Orange County on February 4. Police found the younger Jordan, and a woman, inside a blue luxury SUV parked on train tracks near Maitland, a suburb north of Orlando.

Police said Jordan’s Lamborghini SUV appeared stuck on the tracks early that morning. Jordan was driving after a night out on the town. When police arrived at the scene, around 1 a.m., they said he was showing signs of being intoxicated.

Body camera footage obtained by TMZ Sports caught Marcus Jordan dropping his legendary NBA father’s name during the incident. As cops patted him down, nearing his waistband, he mentioned his iconic father. He said:

“Bro, I’m Marcus Jordan. I’m Michael Jordan’s son. I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m just trying to get home. And I made a wrong turn. OK? And, clearly, we would just like to get our car off of the f***ing train tracks which we were not trying to be on.”

However, the cops at the scene were not phased by the legendary name at all. Instead of getting a “Get Out of Jail Free card,” police handcuffed Jordan and escorted him to a DUI testing facility.

The footage also showed Jordan trying to move his car off the railway with his foot on the gas. He was also trying to get the police officers to come over and help him break free his car, which he said cost $300,000. However, during his attempts, police declined to assist and said he elicited signs of being intoxicated. They claimed his speech seemed slurred and his balance appeared off.

Police Retest White Substance Found On Marcus Jordan In DUI Arrest

Days after Marcus Jordan’s DUI arrest in Florida, he entered a plea of not guilty in the case. He has also been relatively quiet about the case and keeping a low profile. But now, police have changed his cocaine drug charge to ketamine. On February 24, TMZ reported that the white substance cops found in Marcus Jordan’s pocket was determined to be ketamine, NOT cocaine.

While the Florida Department of Law Enforcement conducted a field test on the powder during the February 4 traffic stop initial, with testing resulting in a positive reading for cocaine, further testing concluded that the substance was actually ketamine.

It’s reported that ketamine and cocaine feature the same color and texture. Additionally, ketamine can also often present a positive reading for cocaine. Thus, the initial test results are not completely out of the norm.

With the new test results, Marcus Jordan is now facing updated charges of possession of ketamine, DUI with property damage, and resisting arrest. According to TMZ, the updated drug charge could potentially help Jordan in court. In Florida, cocaine is considered a Schedule II drug and ketamine is a Schedule III drug.
