Man Who Filmed Ahmaud Arbery’s Death Is Also Facing Child Molestation Investigation

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, one of the three men charged in Ahmaud Arbery’s death is now also the subject of a child molestation investigation.

Earlier this month, The GBI, tweeted about “sex crimes” involving William “Roddie” Bryan. However, they didn’t specify the accusations. The tweet read; “On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, the Glynn County Police Department requested that the GBI initiate a sex crimes investigation based on allegations made against William ‘Roddie’ Bryan, Jr,” the GBI tweeted on July 17. “The investigation is active and ongoing.”

This week, First Coast News reported that they have obtained the face sheet of the investigation, “which lists the incident type as child abuse/molestation.” The incident reportedly took place in Camden County, Georgia and the victim is described as a white female. A spokesperson for the GBI explained not did not provide any further details or documents for now because the investigation is still ongoing.

As we previously reported, Arbery, a black man was killed on Feb. 23 just outside the coastal town of Brunswick. Bryan is accused of striking Arbery, 25, with his truck during the February attack. He also videotaped the deadly shooting on his cellphone. He is charged with malice and felony murder along with the other two suspects — former cop Greg McMichael and his son Travis McMichael. They have all pleaded not guilty.
