Amanda Kean said she was listening to a podcast during her morning commute on Monday when she started hearing a moaning sound. According to TOO FAB, Kean paused the podcast and rolled down the window twice when she listened to the sounds again. She suddenly realized that the sound was coming from the back of her truck and pulled into her job’s parking lot in Providence. After police arrived at the scene, they said the man was “partially naked” and was lying on the floor “in the rear of the vehicle.”

The man was later identified as 21-year-old Jose Osorio and he entered her vehicle while intoxicated. Kean’s backseat were folding down and Osorio managed to fit under the seats. “I don’t know how to put it into words. It really took my mind a minute for me to understand what I was seeing. I felt like my privacy had been invaded,” she explained to WJAR.

Investigators assumed Osorio might have entered the vehicle while Kean was unloading groceries from her car, which was unlocked. She also said she’s never the man before the incident.

“Officers located Osorio in the rear of the vehicle sleeping. He was partially clothed, with a pair of shorts around one leg and a shirt wrapped around one arm, leaving the rest of his body uncovered. It was apparent to the Officers that Osorio was extremely intoxicated and through an interpreter service, later learned that he had consumed a large amount of alcohol and marijuana earlier in the evening in Providence. At some point during his intoxicated state, Osorio entered the unlocked vehicle and fell asleep. While speaking with the victim, she told Officers that Osorio had not threatened her in any way and she had not been injured.”
Police later arrested and charged Osorio with breaking and entering a vehicle. Additionally he had an outstanding warrant for a prior breaking and entering case.
