Ludacris Reacts To Backlash Over His R. Kelly Lyrics
Ludacris walked away a winner from his Verzuz battle with Nelly, however, he also left with a lot of backlash due to a particular lyric in a new song featuring Lil Wayne.
“The world crazy, n***as pouring drinks like Cliff Huxtable. I love R. Kelly, but around my daughters, I’m not comfortable,” rapped Ludacris. For obvious reasons some people on social media weren’t too comfortable with the rapper saying that he loved Kelly, considering his multiple sex crimes.

While speaking to V103’s Big Tigger, the rapper addressed the backlash,
“Sometimes when you speak on records, you’re speaking like it’s just me and you having a conversation as friends,” he said. “But, you’re just speaking and just being honest. I saw that a lot of people kind of misconstrued or didn’t really understand what it was that I was saying.”
Luda then asked Tigger what he viewed the meaning of the lyrics as,
“You probably meant I love his music and what he brought to the table, but I am a father of daughters, and you’re not going to be around my daughters.” Ludacris then responded to Tigger with, “You are smart man, bro. You get it. It’s that simple.”
