Lindsay Clancy Returns To Court For Her Retrial Hearing — Her Attorney Questions Where’s The Evidence Proving That She K*lled Her Children

Lindsay Clancy’s legal strategy is taking a dramatic turn following the mistrial in her murder case.

During a hearing Tuesday, defense attorney Kevin Reddington told Judge William Sullivan that Clancy never admitted to killing her three children and argued that the evidence does not prove she was responsible for their deaths. That marks a major shift from the trial, when her attorneys argued that postpartum psychosis left her unable to be held criminally responsible.

Prosecutors are pushing for a retrial, maintaining that there was enough evidence for a jury to find Clancy criminally responsible. A hearing is scheduled for November 2, when the court could potentially set a date for another trial.

Reddington also accused President Donald Trump and Rep. Nancy Mace of contributing to the case’s media frenzy, pointing to Trump’s public comments and Mace’s interview with TMZ DC, during which she reportedly said Clancy should be publicly executed.

Meanwhile, prosecutors are asking the judge to limit what attorneys can say publicly, arguing that the intense media attention and statements from Clancy’s defense team could taint a future jury pool.

Clancy’s attorneys also sought to have the charges dismissed on double-jeopardy grounds and asked the court to investigate the lone holdout juror, including allegations that he used his phone during deliberations.
