Lil Wayne’s fiancée Madison “Madi” Cannon is letting fans get a closer look into her engagement with the rap legend as she flaunts her massive yellow diamond ring. On Saturday (October 10), Madi took to her Instagram Story with a photo of her left hand. While showing off her fresh manicure, she held her hand out and wrote, “pink mani kinda day.” On her ring finger was a large yellow, square diamond engagement ring.
Lil Wayne Confirms Engagement To Madison ‘Madi’ Cannon
As we perviously shared, Wayne recently confirmed he was not only back dating Madi Cannon, but that they were engaged. On September 28, Cash Money rapper B.G. shared a video on his Instagram of Wayne congratulating him on his own engagement. B.G. had proposed to his girlfriend, Brooke Jones. He did so on the September 13 New Orleans stop of the ‘Cash Money & No Limit Tour.’
Weeks later, B.G. posted a clip of Wayne and his fiancée. Weezy held the camera and Madi later popped into the frame. Wayne said, “Congratulations, b*tch! And I’m marrying this one. This is Madison. This is my fiancée.” Madi chimed in, “Congratulations!” Wayne added, “Congratulations! Let us know what color we wearing. I’m the best man, you heard me.” Wayne and Madison laughed together, before he ended the clip and told B.G., “Love you, b*tch.” B.G. captioned the post, “My lil brodie gave me his blessings @liltunechi.”
Before the engagement confirmation, Wayne and Madi first made headlines in late May 2026. Reports began surfacing claiming Wayne, who turned 44 on September 27, had secretly proposed to a 23-year-old mystery woman from Indiana. She was later identified as Madi Cannon.
The two were spotted backstage at his concerts and in photos shared on Madi’s social media. However, by July 5, 2026, Wayne had posted a video denying the engagement rumors. He also announced that he had split from Madi. In the clip, he said:
“I would like to clear something up. No, I’m not engaged. No. No. I had a beautiful thing going with an amazing person, but, obviously, due to the validity of the temperature of today’s crazy world and culture, I considered I don’t want to be such a burden on such an amazing person. So, we’ve decided to part. Sucks. But, no, I’m not engaged.”

Despite their brief split, Wayne and Madi are heading for the aisle. And recently, Weezy even revealed who he wants to perform at his wedding with Madi. He made the revelation during the October 7 episode of his and sports personality Craig Carton’s podcast, ‘The Joint Venture Show.’ Lil Wayne said he wants Anita Baker “as his first choice,” followed by Keith Sweat or Babyface.
