Kim Kardashian is certainly not in support of Balenciaga’s controversial ad campaign, according to a new report. The French fashion house made headlines earlier this week after releasing an advertisement that showed children holding onto teddy bears wearing bondage attire. Despite the firm’s public apology on its Instagram Story, people still can’t wrap their heads around how the ad campaign was a smart idea, to begin with.
Now, sources via The New York Post assert that Kim, who shares strong ties with Balenciaga — thanks to her ex, Kanye West — has privately criticized the campaign, with insiders saying that she was left “upset and disturbed” by the photos that have widely circulated on the internet even after Balenciaga had pulled them down from its social platforms. “As a mother, she has no tolerance for abuse or exploitation of children on any level,” the source explained.
Balenciaga severed their ties with @kanyewest due to a tweet.
Yet they expect us to just “accept their apology” after they get caught up sexualizing children?
They’re not apologizing because they’re sorry. They’re apologizing because they got caught.

“After speaking with the Balenciaga team privately, as well as seeing that they immediately removed the campaign images and issued a public apology, she is hopeful that they have learned from this incident and that it never happens again.” The report comes just days after the Skims founder was slammed for taking to her official Instagram and posting herself wearing a top from the Adidas x Balenciaga collaboration.
It’s unclear whether the negative reaction Kim received in the comments section of the post sparked her to reportedly have a conversation with Balenciaga, but from what’s been gathered, the reality star did not agree with the fashion house’s move to launch the aforementioned advert involving minors.
“Nobody wants to buy anything from you. Speak up and stand for something,” one angered fan wrote. Others told Kim to be more careful with what she shares online, particularly since she’s a mother of four and presumably wouldn’t want her own kids put in such horrific situations.
Balenciaga is very much cancelled in my eyes, I don’t care what explanation they come up with. don’t mess with children

Meanwhile, in the latest episode of “The Kardashians” on Hulu, which also concluded the show’s second season run, Kim flew out to Paris to walk in one of her first couture runway shows for Balenciaga.
While she has yet to publicly address the matter, given that she shares a working relationship with the company, only will tell if Kim ends up saying something about the demeaning ad campaign given that she has been rather silent about the issue — at least to the public.
