Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Father Dies At 57 From Coronavirus
UFC champ Khabib Nurmagomedov’s father has sadly passed away From complications related to the Coronavirus. He was just 57.
Abdulmanap, who worked as an MMA coach, was hospitalized in Moscow in May, with COVID-19 complications that made his existing heart condition worse. Khabib had revealed that his father was in critical condition.

John Kavanagh, coach of Khabib’s rival Conor McGregor, took to Twitter to send his condolences to the family,
“Very sorry to hear of the passing of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. A genius of combat sports and an absolute inspiration to so many up and coming fighters. Sadly only entering his prime of coaching such a loss and tragedy. RIP and best wishes to his family during this difficult time.”
According to RT, Abdulmanap died due to brain injuries exacerbated by a stroke. He was in a coma after the heart attack.
Just ten days ago Khabib gave an update on his father’s condition to Channel One Russia.
“He recognizes me, but there is no [verbal] communication, because he is under the hospital devices. Every day, I visit him for half an hour, hold his hand, talk, he gestures to understand that he recognizes me.”
