After initially telling the police that the NBA star, Kevin Porter Jr struck her several times and choked her, now Kysre Gondrezick is breaking her silence and claiming none of that never went down.
As we previously reported, the Houston Rockets star is facing charges in New York after being arrested on September 11 after an alleged altercation went down at the Millennium Hilton NY Hotel. It was also reported today that one of the charges was dropped by prosecutors in Manhattan over “insufficient evidence.”
“He didn’t hit me,” the 26-year-old former WNBA player announced Tuesday. “He never balled his fists up and hit me.”
“He definitely didn’t punch me in the face numerous times. That is a lie. I don’t have any injuries to support that.”
She also continued to reveal that the two are no longer a couple.
Porter is alleged to have struck Gondrezick multiple times and is accused of putting his hands around her neck somewhere during the reported altercation. Furthermore, his girlfriend claims to have been sleeping when she was woken up by the athlete allegedly hitting her. Known for his talent on the court, Porter’s off-court behavior has often overshadowed his potential. The Rockets took a chance on him by signing him to a four-year extension, hoping that he would be able to turn his life around. However, this latest incident raises questions about his ability to stay out of trouble and focus on his career.
The allegations against Porter are grave, and if found guilty, he could face severe consequences. Assault and strangulation charges are both felonies, highlighting the severity of the situation at hand. A few weeks ago the Rockets also announced that he will no longer be apart of their organization. “The allegations against [Porter] are deeply troubling,” GM, Rafael Stone previously said. “Going back a few weeks, as soon as I heard the allegations, I informed his representatives that he could not be part of the Houston Rockets. He has not been with the team or around the team since that time.”
