As first reported by The Neighborhood Talk, Wyatt was arrested on September 20 and booked into the Henry County jail on three charges: terroristic threats, simple assault, and cruelty to children. As of now, full details about exactly what led to this latest incident have not been shared with the public. No arrest affidavit or police report has surfaced laying out what Wyatt allegedly said or did to earn all three charges, so outside of the official booking information, everything else circulating online is speculation.
However, TMZ did note that didn’t stay in the slammer for long, the sheriff’s office confirmed she posted a $1,050 bond and walked out two days later.
Now as shocking as this may sound, this isn’t Wyatt’s first run-in with the law, and it isn’t the first time domestic violence has been part of her story.
Back in 2002, a then-21-year-old Wyatt made headlines for a much more dramatic incident. Police responded to a domestic violence call at her Shelbyville, Kentucky home on Christmas morning and found her husband and manager at the time, Rahmat Morton, with stab wounds to his chest, arms, back, and hands.
Doctors at the University of Louisville Hospital had to remove part of a knife blade from his back. Wyatt was arrested and later indicted by a grand jury on one count of second-degree assault, a charge that could have carried up to 20 years behind bars. Morton never pressed charges against her, and the case was ultimately dismissed.
Wyatt has spoken candidly about that night in the years since, framing it as an act of self-defense against a man she says was abusive. She stayed married to Morton for years afterward and had two more children with him before finally divorcing him, later telling reporters the relationship never got better no matter how much she hoped it would.
