We thought Pamela Anderson finally found the perfect man that she would stay with for the rest of her life, but 12 days later that marriage would end too!

Hollywood producer Jon Peters said that his short-lived marriage ended after he paid of the “broke’’  Baywatch stars’ debts, “There’s no fool like an old fool.”

Pamela claimed that the marriage started off as a lunch date that went too far when she realized how controlling Peters was, and that he was the one who proposed on a whim.

However, Peters is speaking out to say that “Everything they told you was a lie,’’ adding that Anderson, 52, actually proposed to him via text. The couple then got married in secret on Jan 20.

“Needless to say that when she texted me that she wanted to get married, it was kind of a dream come true even though I was engaged to someone else and the lady was moving in,’’ Peters said “I dropped everything for Pam. She had almost $200,000 in bills and no way to pay it so I paid it and this is the thanks I get. There’s no fool like an old fool.’’

Jon also said he was not controlling despite what sources claimed, “I welcomed her into my life with open arms and love since I have looked after her for many years. If she meant controlling- I’ve paid … [her] bills since she was broke. I bought her a completely new wardrobe. I didn’t want to say anything just wanted it to be that we were going our own separate ways but when I read your article I felt the need to tell the true story.”

In addition, the movie mogul shares the breakup text he sent to Pam with Page Six, it read, “these past 9 days have been a beautiful amazing love fest [but ] this whole marriage thing with lawyers, debt, and jazmin [sic] has scared me. it made me realize that at 74 i need a simple quiet life and not an international love affair.” (“Jazmin” is a site that Pamela has been affiliated with and it is a sex positive domain.

Pamela’s representative responded to Peters via the New York Post, “These claims are not only entirely fabricated, they are ludicrous. Despite Mr. Peters’ efforts to elicit a response from Ms. Anderson, she has no comment to provide and wishes him well.”
