Joe Exotic’s husband Dillon Passage says he no longer wants a relationship with the “Tiger King” star and wants a divorce quickly.

The news was confirmed by Joe Exotic’s attorney, Francisco Hernandez, who says he is devastated by the news after receiving the break up phone call in prison. Now the Netflix star is hoping to reach court quickly before Passage files the divorce papers. In an Instagram post, Passage explained why he was leaving Exotic, real name Joseph Maldonado, and said the decision wasn’t easy.
“To answer the main question the public wants to know, yes, Joe and I are seeking a divorce. This wasn’t an easy decision to make but Joe and I both understand that this situation isn’t fair to either of us. It’s something that neither of us were expecting but we are going to take it day by day. We are on good terms still and I hope it can stay that way. I will continue to have Joe in my life and do my best to support him while he undergoes further legal battles to better his situation.”
Reportedly, Exotic feels alone and abadoned after breaking the news to a friend via email.
