The singer took to Instagram this Thursday morning to update concerned fans, as many are aware she resides in the Golden State. She said, “Me and my children’s home is gone, burned to the ground with all of our things inside,” Aiko sadly revealed.
She continued, “Lord have mercy. A thankful we still have each other. Starting from scratch. My heart is so heavy.” She concluded by praying for everyone else who has suffered a great loss or is dealing with the devastating fires. “Praying for everyone this morning. Those who lost their home, those who lost their life’s work, those who lost their life. Praying for my city, praying for the wildlife and lost pets. Praying for the world; let suffering be a gift; a lesson in compassion.”

A series of ferocious wildfires erupted on Tuesday. Fueled by powerful winds and dry conditions, they ripped through the Los Angeles area, destroying hundreds of homes and killing at least five people so far.
Governor Gavin Newsom has since declared a state of emergency for the Pacific Palisades after the fire engulfed more than 2,900 acres, forcing tens of thousands to evacuate.
Other stars who have suffered losses include reality stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Paris Hilton.
“Heartbroken beyond words,” Paris wrote on Instagram on January 8 alongside a news report regarding the fires. “Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience.”
