Jamie Foxx’s Daughter Reveals Her Dad Has Been Out Of The Hospital And Is “Recuperating”

Thankfully this Friday, the daughter of Jamie Foxx decided to speak out again and put an end to all these conflicting reports regarding the actor’s health.

As many are aware, Corrine Fox announced last month that her famous dad had suffered a “medical complication.” While little details were shared at the time, sources “close” to the situation claimed things weren’t looking good for the entertainer. Earlier this week, a new report stated that Jamie’s family was “preparing for the worst” as he remained in the hospital, leaving fans even more worries for the star.

As scary as that sound, Corrine Fox is now letting everyone know that those reports are simply “wild.” The actress took to her personal Instagram account this Friday to react to that report. She said, “Update from the family:
Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!
Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!
We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”

Her latest statement comes just days after her father released an update on his health through his personal Instagram page. It read, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed [prayer, heart, and fox emoji].”

More On Jamie Fox’s Hospitalization

In mid-April, Corinne first broke the news that Jamie was rushed to the hospital over a “medical complication.” The 29-year-old said “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

His health issues came as he was filming a new movie called Back in Action with Cameron Diaz. Since his hospitalization, production stopped but then continued filming with stand-ins and body doubles for Foxx, and has reportedly wrapped. The film is also directed by Seth Gordon, who worked with Foxx on the 2011 comedy Horrible Bosses.

Nick Cannon has also taken on the hosting duties for Fox’s Beat Shazam. Cannon will fill in for Foxx for season 6 of the interactive music game show, with Kelly Osbourne set to fill in for Foxx’s daughter Corinne Foxx as DJ.

Cannon previously told ET, “I literally have been saying prayers out loud. Words of affirmation for my big brother.” While not offering any details about Foxx’s recovery, Cannon said the actor is “doing so much better,” teasing that he knows that because he’s about to “do something special for him, and doing him a favor.”

We’re just happy to hear Jamie Foxx is getting better and we can’t wait to see him back on our television screens doing what he loves.
