Jamie Foxx gave a shoutout to Nick Cannon for replacing him on “Beat Shazam” as he deals with ongoing health issues.

On May 3, an Instagram page for the television show shared a statement, announcing who would replace both Jamie Foxx and his daughter, Corinne Foxx.  “This season, not wanting fans of the game show to miss a minute of fun, Nick Cannon has offered to fill in as guest host for his friends Jamie and Corinne Foxx,” the post read. “Kelly Osbourne will be filling in as guest DJ. Everyone at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery, and we greatly appreciate Nick’s willingness to jump in and help this summer,” the statement concluded.

After the news began to make headlines, Foxx shared the post to his IG story and gave Nick a shoutout saying, “appreciate you my boy see u all soon.”

On his personal Instagram page today, the “Ray” actor posted a black background and wrote, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” with the praying, red heart and fox emoji.

Socialites… we were all still stunned by the news of Jamie Foxx‘s hospitalization earlier this week after the actor reportedly suffered a “medical complication” out in Georgia. His daughter, Corinne Foxx, first shared the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday, though she assured fans that her father was well on his way to recovery. While little has been said about the cause of Foxx being rushed to the hospital, a source has told CNN that doctors are “still running tests” and “trying to figure out what exactly happened.”

After spending several months out in London where he had been shooting his upcoming Netflix film, “Back In Action,” along with Cameron Diaz, Foxx flew out to Atlanta, Georgia where production had continued. Insiders added that the medical emergency did not occur on the set of the motion picture as previously speculated on social media, but the movie is expected to wrap filming next week, despite Foxx still reportedly having to shoot a few more scenes.

Per People magazine, while Foxx’s condition is steadily improving, producers used a stand-in for the actor when they resumed production on Thursday, but there’s also a chance the script could get revised so that the remaining scenes will no longer be necessary for Foxx to film even after he leaves the hospital. “Jamie seems to be doing better, even joking with family,” a source said. “Nevertheless, doctors need to get to the bottom of what happened.”

In a statement shared by Corinne earlier this week, she wrote, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.

“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
