Who would have thought vampires would be living in southern California? Well, in the new film ‘Day Shift’ on Netflix, that is exactly the case.

Hollywood Unlocked was on the red carpet for the premiere of the film starring Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg, Karla Souza,  Meagan Good, Dave Franco, and more.

In this film, Foxx who plays Bud Jablonski, is a father who is trying to keep his family together, but in order to do that, he needs to kill vampires and obtain money for one of the most valuable assets from them, their teeth.

Snoop who plays, Big John Elliott, is one of Jablonski’s closest friends in the field, advocating for him to get the job done while Franco who plays Seth, learns a thing or two about the vampire field job from Jablonski.

While on the carpet, we talked to Snoop about playing a black vampire slayer and the importance of being an actor which he shared with us, that if you’re a real actor, no matter what the role is do it, and do it well.

Foxx shared the same sentiments that he never thought a movie about black men slaying vampires would be a thing, but when it came to the team behind the scenes and the rest of his castmates, it makes for an amazing movie.
