Issa Rae has seemingly confirmed that her working relationship with Amanda Seales completely over.
On Tuesday, “The Breakfast Club” shared a clip of Issa expressing her decision to part ways with Amanda during her Viarae wine event in Brooklyn last night. Issa was asked who she would never work with again, giving her a chance to respond to the ongoing rumors about her having differences with Amanda while filming the popular HBO series. Issa thought about the question and then shared, “The person I would not work with again … anyone who goes on a podcast and talks s*** about me!!!”
Earlier this year, Amanda joined “Club Shay Shay,” where she expressed her frustrations to Shannon Sharpe. She mentioned that she was finished looking out for Issa because she believed Issa didn’t truly care about the well-being of Black women.
Issa and Amanda’s relationship has been deteriorating ever since 2019 when Issa’s publicist, Vanessa Anderson, controversially had Amanda kicked out of a Black Hollywood Emmys afterparty. It appears that their bond has finally reached a breaking point.
