In a recent interview on the “Don’t Call Me White Girl” podcast, Amanda Seales got candid about her sex life, saying she didn’t realize that women are supposed to fake their orgasms to please their partners. While the comedian and actress makes it no secret that she enjoys having sex, there had been times in the past when the men she was getting intimate with were simply not making her climax.
And, as she mentions in the interview, it wasn’t until one of her sexual partners asked her why she hadn’t reached her orgasm, adding that the guy didn’t feel like he had done his job in the bedroom because of it. “I didn’t know I was supposed to be faking the orgasm. I did not know that…I didn’t understand that ni***s was mad because I wasn’t achieving the climax,” she explained.

“Then this one n**a I was dating was like, ‘[Ugh]..You just never finish’ and I was like but you finished and he was like ‘yeah but you’re not signaling the accomplishment. But I literally had no idea like no one taught me this. He was like, ‘you’re not signaling the accomplishment and it just makes me feel like I’m not doing what I’m supposed to be doing.’”
Later in the discussion, Amanda revealed that she did eventually start experiencing an orgasm with one of her exes, who almost made it a requirement that she was going to climax during sex.
“Why aren’t I having the final?” she asked. “And it wasn’t until I had a dude who really um you know how do I put this he was broke and so I think that in his mind he was like ‘I can’t give financially so I’m gonna give vaginally.’ It was like he saw he solved The Da Vinci Code.”
Elsewhere, back in October, the 41-year-old opened up about her two-year hiatus from comedy touring and why she ended up losing her motivation to hit the road again in the midst of the Covid pandemic.

Amanda, who is currently on her “Black Outside Again” tour — with three more Chicago dates to go before concluding on December 4 — said that she ended up finding inspiration from all the political drama that erupted during this period. She told CNN that near the end of the pandemic, she somewhat became more of a politicized person who wanted to share her thoughts on recent world issues, but with a sense of comedy to it.
“I jumped at the opportunity to say, ‘All right, let’s get back outside and let’s be Black outside,” she expressed. “Because us having community is its own therapy that we need to have.”
