HoneyKomb Brazy: Four Men Charged After Fiery Murders Of Rapper’s Grandparents

Last February, we shared the horrific news of rapper HoneyKomb Brazy losing his grandparents in a shooting and blazing house fire. It’s been almost an exact year since the killing, and now four men have been charged for the murders.

As we previously reported in February 2021, Tony Lewis and Leila Lewis were killed after having their home shot up and then set on fire due to the gunfire hitting oxygen tanks. The killing happened shortly after their grandson, Alabama rapper HoneyKomb Brazy, signed to Houston-based Rap-A-Lot Records. The rapper was an emotional wreck, feeling guilty for letting them “get caught up in [his] sh*t.”

As of this week, 43-year-old convicted drug kingpin Darrin Jamark “DD” Southall, Terrance Sanchez Watkins, 25, and Jamarcus Devonta Chambers, 29, along with a fourth unnamed man, have all been charged in the Lewises murders; which took place inside of Mobile, Alabama’s Happy Hill community. It’s reported that Tony died of gunshot wounds, while Leila died as a result of the home exploding.  While all four men received murder charges, it’s noted that Southall is already serving a 35-year sentence over drug and escape convictions, which he plead guilty to in November.
