The management team of Gloss Up has given an update on her foot injury while thanking fans for their prayers after the Memphis rapper revealed she nearly lost her life in a serious car accident.
On Sunday (July 12), Gloss Up, born Jerrica LaShay Russell, took to her Instagram Story and spoke about the scary crash. She shared a cryptic, no-face photo of herself in a hospital bed. She wrote over the image, “I almost lost my life. I’m so sadddddddd. 😭😭💔💔💔💔.”

Gloss Up’s Management Team Clarifies Her ‘Foot Amputation’ Claims And Later Updates On Her Surgery After Car Accident
Shortly after Gloss’ posts, her team shared an update, clarifying her posts. The statement read:
“Gloss Up was recently involved in a serious car accident and sustained a severe injury to her foot. While the medical team is doing everything they can to save it, she is currently heavily medicated for pain and mistakenly thought it had already been amputated. To clarify: her foot has NOT been amputated. She is actively in surgery, and doctors are actively working to save and treat it. She needs all the support she can get right now. Please keep her in your thoughts and send your strongest prayers for her recovery and her medical team.”
About 7 hours later, Gloss Up’s team shared another update. As they thanked fans for their prayers, the rapper’s management team thanked God for seeing her through a successful surgery. They said she is now on her long road to recovery as they shared two very graphic images of her severe foot injury. The statmeent read:
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has prayed for Gloss, reached out, and kept her in your thoughts. Your love and support have meant more than words can express during this incredibly difficult time. We’re so grateful to share that Gloss made it through surgery and is now recovering. By the grace of God and the incredible work of her surgical team, they were able to save her foot. She still has a long road ahead, and her healing journey is just beginning, but today we’re holding onto hope and celebrating this blessing. I’m sharing a photo of her foot after surgery so you can better understand the severity of her injury and why we were told that amputation was a very real possibility. It isn’t an easy image to look at, but it shows just how much she has already endured and how grateful we are that her foot could be saved. Please continue to keep Gloss in your prayers as she heals, regains her strength, and takes each step toward recovery. Every prayer, kind message, and word of encouragement has lifted our spirits more than you know. Thank you for supporting us through this journey.”
