Gary Payton Says Shaq Would ‘Use The Bathroom’ In A Bucket, And Throw It On Rookies
In a recent interview with VladTV, Shaq’s former teammate Gary Payton talked about some of the additional disgusting memories the two made together on the Heat and the Lakers.
The Glove explained how Shaq would play practical jokes on his rookie teammates. Payton disclosed Shaq’s famous form of hazing which pertained to throwing a week’s worth of pee onto unsuspecting rookies.

“We used to always play jokes,” Payton said. “Shaq is a jokester. So if one of the rookies would be in the stall, he would take a bucket and use the bathroom in it for about a week. And then all of a sudden, he would pour it on them.”
Payton spoke on a time when he finally got Shaq back. He said sometimes he would snatch Shaq’s underwear and pants, pushing him to ride in his truck with just a towel on. Payton still has a pair of O’Neil’s underclothing, which are now framed in his home.
“He’d get in his truck and ride around and then he would throw the towel out and then he’d be free-balling,” Payton said. “So I used to keep all the shorts pair of drawers and all that stuff.”
Gary Payton did not reveal which rookie players Shaq did those pranks to.
