#FreeJussie: Jussie Smollett & Family Proclaim His Innocence In New Instagram Posts: ‘We Will Keep Fighting’

After being sentenced to 150 days in jail and 30 months probation for allegedly faking his 2019 hate crime attack, Jussie Smollett and The Smollett Family proclaim his innocence in new Instagram posts; where they affirm they “will keep fighting” to free him.

As we previously shared, Smollett was sentenced a few days ago and after his verdict, he yelled out that he was innocent and not suicidal, claiming “if anything happens to me when I go in there, I did not do it to myself, and you must all know that.” On the actor’s official Instagram account, which is ran by his family, several posts went up fighting for his freedom and safety.

The first of three posts read, “I AM INNOCENT AND I AM NOT SUICIDAL -Jussie Smollett.” The caption read, “OUR BROTHER IS INNOCENT AND WE WILL KEEP FIGHTING. #FreeJussie.” A second post simply read, “#FREEJUSSIE,” while the caption read, “Jussie is innocent. And…you don’t have to believe in his innocence to believe he should be free. #FreeJussie.” The most recent post is a repost from Chicago activist Bella Bahhs, where she breaks down both sides between what The Chicago Police Department believes versus Jussie and his family. #Socialites, thoughts?
