It is reported that Adams is a semi-professional rapper known by the alias Ace NH.

On February 8, Adams was charged with allegedly killing his 22-year-old girlfriend Alana Sims, who was five months pregnant at the time — and getting ready to turn 23 today (Monday, February 13).

Tampa Police Department officials say Adams is facing charges of first-degree murder and the killing of an unborn child.

Police officials add that Adams allegedly gunned down Sims in front of her SUV while the young woman’s, reported, 18-month-old son was fast asleep in the vehicle.

Her body was discovered next to her car. Attorneys representing Adams have since asked a judge to allow him to be released on bond.

However, just three days prior to Adams allegedly gunning down his pregnant girlfriend in front of her son, a jury acquitted him on separate double murder charges. Being so, the judge in his latest case immediately denied him and his lawyers’ request for bond.

Pushing back, one of his lawyers, Jamie Kane, continued to ask the judge for a gag order in order to prevent the press from receiving details about his case.

Apparently, a previously published article included “publicly available information about the case, claiming, ‘Some of which is highly speculative, some of which is highly inaccurate.’”

Firing back, prosecutors claimed that the requested gag order would in turn violate Florida Statute 119, pertaining to freedom of the press.

Additionally, the state claimed that the order would also violate Marsy’s Law, which present victims’ families the right to obtain certain information about a case.

So, “without prejudice” the judge denied the gag order request, but allowed the potential for another judge to grant a gag order later down the line.
