Florida Mayor Calls Out 50 Cent Over Maskless Super Bowl Party: “This May End Up Costing Someone A Lot More Than 50 Cent”
50 Cent is the latest celebrity to face heat over a maskless party during the pandemic.
According to TMZ, the entertainer hosted a Super Bowl bash on Friday night where attendees seemed to forget that we’re in the middle of a pandemic. Photos obtained by the gossip site showed many people without a face covering while partying ahead of the game between Tampa Bay and Kansas City.
St. Petersburg mayor Rick Kriseman was not happy about the pre-super bowl activity and decided to call the rapper out. He tweeted, “This isn’t how we should be celebrating the Super Bowl. It’s not safe or smart. It’s stupid. We’re going to take a very close look at this, and it may end up costing someone a lot more than 50 cent. @TMZ”
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the mayor’s office told the Tampa Bay Times that city officials are investigating the party. Further information will be released next week.
