A judge has ordered Faith Evans to pay $12.5 million to Voletta Wallace’s trust — which is ran by The Notorious B.I.G.’s former manager and estate executor, Wayne Barrow.
The Notorious B.I.G. And Faith Evans’ Son CJ Wallace Sues Biggie’s Former Manager Wayne Barrow Over Voletta Wallace’s Will
In August, we previously shared how Biggie and Evans’ son CJ Wallace, born Christopher Jordan Wallace, called out something fishy going on with his grandmother’s will.
In a lawsuit filed in Pennsylvania against Barrow, CJ claimed Voletta’s will cut him and his sister, T’yanna Wallace, out and made Barrow — Biggie’s former manager and Vice Chairman of the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation — the executor of Biggie’s estate, replacing Voletta.
CJ said his grandmother was in very poor health in her final days — taking several medications and mostly confined to her bed. He petitioned a court to not only void the changes to Voletta’s will, but to also immediately remove Barrow as executor of Biggie’s estate.
Judge Orders Faith Evans To Pay Over $12.5 Million To The Notorious B.I.G.’s Mother Voletta Wallace’s Trust Ran By Biggie’s Former Manager Wayne Barrow
CJ’s filing arrived after Barrow beat his mother, Evans, in court for access to Voletta’s portion of Biggie’s trust profits. She had challenged paperwork allowing Barrow to take over Voletta’s share of estate earnings in December 2025.
Since then, Barrow has now gained another victory over Evans. AllHipHop reported that on Tuesday (October 27), a Delaware judge awarded a $12.5 million judgment to Voletta’s estate, the Voletta Wallace Revocable Trust.
According to Billboard, the total will near $14 million after interest — which is to be paid to Notorious B.I.G., LLC, the trust overseeing Biggie’s intellectual property. The paperwork reveals Voletta’s share of estate profits, running from February to December 2025, totals $12.5 million.
Ultimately, the judge denied Evans’ request to limit the judgement to $48,612, forcing her to pay the full $12,518,336 awarded to Wallace’s trust — headed by Barrow. CJ’s lawsuit against Barrow remains ongoing.
