Elderly Scottish Woman Was Dead ‘For 12 Years’ Before Body Found In Home

The body of an elderly Scottish woman, identified as Christina Malley, was found in her Cover home on February 25, and investigators believe she was dead “for 12 years.”

After Malley, who would’ve now been in her 80s, failed to show up to her COVID-19 vaccine appointment, nurses showed up to her home, which she shared with her husband, Daniel. Malley’s husband allegedly told them she was abroad. An investigation was launched and when authorities followed up and arrived to the home, they later discovered her body, believing she’d been dead for as long as 12 years.

Investigators are still trying to determine exactly when and how Malley died. A police spokesperson said, “The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing.” Reportedly, neighbors were shocked to learn that Daniel had been married. One resident said, “I’ve never seen him with a wife in all the time I’ve lived here. It gives me a shudder when I think she could have been lying in the house all that time. Why was there not a smell, or flies? It’s just so odd.” #Socialites, thoughts?
