Dwayne Wade & Gabrielle Union Asked ‘Pose’ Cast About Pronouns For Daughter
Dwayne Wade says he and Gabrielle Union sought help from FX’s’Pose‘ cast about gender pronouns for their daughter Zaya, who’s transitioning.
While the couple have been super transparent throughout this whole process, Wade explained to a caller on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,’ “We got information. We didn’t have a lot of information, and we reached out about pronouns. Something as simple as pronouns, we wanted to make sure we didn’t get it wrong. So we reached out about the pronouns to make sure we said the right things to our daughter.”

Wade adds that the couple’s main objective was to ensure that Zaya felt comfortable and happy, and that he and Union were growing also. He adds, “We reached out to make sure that we had all of the information we needed, because we are learning in this process as well.”
Pose star Angelica Ross took to Twitter herself, stating, “I was so touched when @itsgabrielleu reached out! BOTH she and @DwyaneWade are so committed to getting it right as parents. So looking for to Queen Z schooling ALL of y’all!!!
