Dwyane Wade Addresses His Son Zion Coming Out “You Can Be Whoever, You Can Be Whatever.”
Dwyane Wade’s youngest son Zion has been a major topic of conversation for the past few months, now we get to hear what he really thinks!
Father of three Dwyane Wade recently sat down with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson for their All The Smoke podcast where Wade spoke about his family including his son Zion!
It is no secret that Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union are extremely supportive of Wade’s youngest son Zion and his sexuality!
Wade and his family have not only supported Zion while at Miami Beach’s Gay Pride Parade, but they have also supported his decision to dress however he wants.
“support each other with pride, love & a smile!” Wade said.
During the Thanksgiving holiday, Zion accompanied Dwayne, Gabrielle, and his little sister Kaavia on their staircase for a family photo. Fans were quick to point out that Zion had on acrylic nails.
Dwayne took to social media to make it clear that
“I’ve been chosen to lead my family not y’all”
“You want to talk about strength and courage? My 12-year-old has way more than I have. You can learn something from your kids, but in the household, now, it’s all we talk about. We talk about our kids being seen by each of us… We want them to be whoever they feel like they can be in this world. Understand that you can be whoever. You can be whatever.”
Dwayne also shared that he “understands his platform” and is using it as a way to support not only his son but others in the LGBTQ+ community.
“I’ve watched my son from day one become into who she now eventually has come into. For me, nothing changes with my love. Nothing changes with my responsibilities. The only thing I gotta do now gets smarter and educate myself more. That’s my job.”
