DaBaby Dropped From Austin City Limits Music Festival & Music Midtown Festival
Just a day after DaBaby issued a formal apology to the LGBTQ community for his homophobic rant at Rolling Loud, two more festivals have decided to cut him as a musical act.
This Tuesday, the official Twitter for Austin City Limits Music Festival announced that the rapper will no longer be performing at the event. Music Midtown followed suit and tweeted out a similar tweet saying, “DaBaby will no longer be performing at Midtown Music Festival. Lineup update coming soon.”
The Charlotte rapper was previously removed from the bills of Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, and Day N Vegas.
As we previously reported, while performing at Rolling Loud festival in Miami over the weekend, he asked every audience member to “put your cell phone light up”, apart from those who were HIV-positive or were gay men who had sex in car parks. Following a wave of backlash, the rapper later apologized for his comments. He tweeted last night that his comments were “insensitive” adding he had “no intentions on offending anybody” before offering “my apologies”. “Anybody who done ever been [affected] by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset,” he said at the time.

Clearly, the first apology didn’t work because he ended up dropping from festivals like flies, which prompted him to share another apology.
DaBaby has yet to publicly speak out on these latest announcements about his canceled sets.
