Country Singer Daniel Lee Martin Commits Suicide After Child Sex Abuse Arrest

Country singer Daniel Lee Martin, 54, has committed suicide, per TMZ, this following January 27th’s arrest for child sex abuse crimes.

Via the Pasco Sheriff’s Office in Florida, the platform reports that Martin was under investigation for the heinous acts and died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Ahead of his arrest, the alleged victim, a child, says Martin exposed and fondled himself and shared pornographic images while the two sat a on sofa. The victim detailed to authorities that they’d spent the night at Martin’s home several times.

Following his arrest, Martin was released on $15,000 bail hours later. Fast-forward to today…

While attempting to serve the singer a warrant via Tennessee — for 3-counts of sexual exploitation on a minor; aggravated sexual battery; and solicitation of a minor to commit rape — deputies entered the home and found Martin dead.

The 54-year-old country singer released numerous albums, including his notable mentions, All That I Am (2003) and On My Way to You  (2007).
