Chris Paul has opened up about his daughter being bullied at school because he has never won an NBA championship. During a recent appearance on The Pivot podcast, Paul, who currently plays for the Phoenix Suns, shared that his 10-year-old daughter Camryn was taunted by a classmate who said, “your daddy ain’t never gon’ win no championship.”

Despite being one of the greatest point guards in NBA history, Paul has yet to lift the prestigious championship trophy in his near two-decade career. He has won numerous accolades, including the Rookie of the Year award, 12 All-Star selections, and appearances on the All-NBA First Team. However, his inability to win a championship has often made him a target of criticism. “My daughter is the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet in your life, but she’s at that age now where at school, kids talk crazy to her,” he said.

“She had a little boy, whatever, at school that said some reckless stuff to her that was like ‘Your daddy ain’t never gonna win no championship!’ And my baby is so, she’s special. She’ll hold it together there, but when she got in the car she called and she was upset. Paul’s family has been subjected to harassment and bullying from fans in the past. He has called out such behavior and urged people to maintain decency when it comes to players’ families. Nevertheless, it seems that some people continue to cross the line and harass his loved ones.

The incident involving his daughter is a stark reminder that bullying can occur anywhere, even in school, where children should feel safe and protected.

With numerous accolades to his name, including All-Star appearances, Olympic gold medals, and recognition on All-NBA and All-Defensive teams, Paul’s contributions to the sport are undeniable.

During the 2017-2018 season, he played for the Houston Rockets and posted impressive stats of 18.6 points, 7.9 assists, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.66 steals per game. He also ranked fifth in assist-to-turnover ratio, hit 2+ threes 40 times, and scored 20+ points 25 times.

His career free-throw percentage of 91.9% is second only to Stephen Curry for the 2017-18 season. Some would say that one of the most impressive things about Chris Paul is his consistency. He is the only NBA player with career averages of at least 18.0 points, 9.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.00 steals, and is one of only three players in league history listed as 6’0” or shorter with 800+ games played to have shot 47.0 percent or better from the floor.

He ranks ninth in NBA history in assists and 12th in steals, making him the first active player in both categories. In the 2015-16 season, Paul had his fourth season averaging at least 19.0 points, 10.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.00 steals, which was only previously accomplished by Isiah Thomas twice.
