Calese Carron Crowder — the 39-year-old California sex offender dubbed the serial “butt sniffer — has again been arrested. This time, the repeat offender is accused of sniffing people’s behinds at two stores in Glendale. He’s now being held without bail.
‘Serial Butt Sniffer’ Calese Crowder’s Repeated Sex Offenses
We first reported on Crowder in August 2023. At the time, he was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender. Within 24 hours, he was released from jail. The arrest followed video of him “sniffing” a woman’s butt at a Barnes & Noble bookstore in Burbank. During that incident, he was already on probation for peeping on children in Glendale.
Additionally, a week before his sex offender registration arrest, he was arrested for peeping on children. At the time of reporting, Crowder had been arrested over 40 times and continuously released. This despite having a rap sheet dating back to 2005 with over 40 counts, including several sex offenses.

After his August 2023, Crowder was again arrested in July 2025 for allegedly sniffing a woman’s butt again — this time at a Nordstrom Rack in Burbank. He was later released and arrested again a month later in August 2025. During that incident, he was held without bail for allegedly sniffing a woman’s butt at a Walgreens in Burbank.
According to Glendale Police, Crowder was arrested in November 2025 after failing to meet an annual sex offender registration requirement for more than two months. Crowder, who was on parole at the time for burglary, was arrested at his home by the Glendale Police Department Assaults Unit. In December 2025, he was sentenced to 99 days in jail for a parole violation. By April 2026, he was back in front of a judge for parole violations. The judge sentenced him to 105 days in jail.
‘Serial Butt Sniffer’ Calese Crowder Arrested Again In Glendale
Now, in August 2026, Crowder is back in the headlines after another arrest. According to NBC4 Los Angeles, Crowder was arrested in Glendale on Friday afternoon (August 28). Two stores (Marshalls and Big Sav Discount Store) reported suspicious and lewd behavior of a man bending down around people.
Glendale Police reviewed security footage and identified Crowder as the suspect. Shortly after, they arrested him on suspicion of a parole violation. He is currently being held without bail.
